What I Wore Thanksgiving

Hello Everyone! I hope you all had lovely Thanksgivings and are continuing to enjoy the holiday by relaxing today or taking advantage of the Black Friday sales! I just wanted to do a quick blog post to share with you what I wore to my Thanksgiving festivities yesterday. I bought this dress back in September from Anthropologie and saved it all season to wear for Thanksgiving. I love dresses with delicate lace detailing (To see me wearing a similar style, click here) because they are so feminine. The color was also perfect for Thanksgiving. My love affair with this dress is definitely not ending with Turkey Day, I want to wear it whenever possible for the rest of the season!

November 18Sometimes we can get so set in getting an end result, that we can lose sight of what is really important. I’ve learned a lot of lessons this fall about letting go of things that aren’t meant to be. I saw this quote on Tumblr and just thought it was a really good take on “everything happens for a reason” and I was inspired to share it on the blog.

What sayings have been inspiring you lately?

Jump In, Let’s Go

IMG_1705This style has been a go to outfit for me this fall. A plaid button-down feels formal enough for class, but I like to keep my outfit from looking too stuffy with a cute skirt. For shoes, I usually stick to flats, since most days I walk all over campus. Of course I have wear my trusty Marc by Marc Jacobs watch and carry all my books in one of my favorite Longchamp bags, both items are school necessities for me!

What has been your go to outfit this fall?

I love the jewel tone styles this fall. When I saw this dress at Madewell, I knew I had to have it. The green is so on-trend and it is the perfect shade to bring out my sometimes green eyes, pale skin and my golden tinted hair. The color is so rich and beautiful that you really do not need to add anything extra to this dress. Wearing it simply makes the best statement. I did add small purple earrings to continue the jewel tone theme, but I kept the rest of my accessories plain, as to not take away from the fabulous dress.

How have you been wearing jewel tones this fall?

Hello readers! I am back from my hiatus with new and exciting Bow Ho content! For today’s inspiration, I wanted to reflect my current attitude towards life. In a lot of ways, at 20, I don’t know what direction I’m heading in, I just know I’m going somewhere. Years from now, I will look back at this time and see that my choices have lead me directly to where I am suppose to be. Until I know where exactly that is, I’ve decided to just move onward. Eventually I will find myself in the perfect place at the perfect time and I know things will fall into place. For now, I’m trying not to stress about reaching the destination and just enjoy the journey, moving ever onward.
